Manifesto: Art X Agency Exhibit
Manifesto: Art X Agency is comprised of over 100 works of artists who used manifestos to deal with the social and political battles of their lifetime. A manifesto is a published declaration which aims towards a viewpoint or truth through music, writing or art in a unique way. Usually related to fighting authority to spread a political and/or social message, this form of art captivates and ignites a wave of influence. Organized by the Hirshhorn’s Chief Curator Stéphane Aquin, the last day to see this great curation is on January 5th, 2020.
Featured artists: Jean Arp, Giacomo Balla, Alexander Calder, Salvador Dalí, Helen Frankenthaler, George Grosz, Hannah Höch, René Magritte, André Masson, Joan Miró, Joan Mitchell, Barnett Newman, Jackson Pollock and Tsuruko Yamazaki.

TRACK OF THE WEEK: DAYLYT - LAST BREATH
I discovered this artist at the end of December of 2018 and feel disappointed I wasn't connected to this before. Ever since Daylyt was battle rapping, he always had an intricate use of words. What grasped me to not only listen to his music, but interviews and vlogs was the content he was putting out to the world. He speaks his mind and can be quite controversial which I like. I guess you can also call him "troll". Although I read a lot and do my own research on things going on in the world, Daylyt seasoned my train of thought to dissect certain issues from another perspective. He has definitely became one of my top favorite artists and I am looking forward to all his upcoming projects; hopefully one with J. Cole soon *wink wink*.
This video I posted was from a project he collaborated with rapper/producer, Willie B titled, "Last Breath" from the Let There B Lyt album (2017). Hope you enjoy and dissect this track because it is pretty heavy with word play, metaphors and great content.

Up until this day, it is the he highest sum ever paid at auction for a work by a U.S. artist. Below are upcoming events at the Norton paying tribute to the young legend.

Art by Marisset
In the wake of Art Basel 2017, South Florida is being flooded by artists and enthusiasts from around the world. Miami being one of the hot spots causes traffic for everyone including locals and those commuting to and from work. With my love for art, I avoid the large crowds and simply visit the exhibitions on their down time. Above is the work of the great contemporary artist, Marisset. Born in Havanna, Cuba and emigrating to the U.S. with her family at the age of 3, she has become one of today's most striking creators in the art community. With work being exposed in galleries all over South Florida, her work is great to get a hold of.
